“All great love stories have to end in tragedy, because if there’s no great love in the first place, you don’t feel anything. There is no tragedy.” --Nicholas Sparks
Nicholas Sparks is the author of the #1 New York Times bestsellers THE RESCUE and NIGHTS IN RODANTHE, AT FIRST SIGHT, SAFE HAVEN, as well as THE NOTEBOOK, MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE, A WALK TO REMEMBER, A BEND IN THE ROAD, THE GUARDIAN, THE WEDDING, and his moving memoir, THREE WEEKS WITH MY BROTHER, written with his brother, Micah. All his books were New York Times and international bestsellers translated into more than thirty languages, and MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE, A WALK TO REMEMBER, and THE NOTEBOOK were adapted into major motion pictures.
I would never know Nicholas Sparks if I hadn’t watch the movie THE NOTEBOOK. Oh my, I remember the night when I am alone, while my kids are already asleep and my husband is still at work, probably this is one of the most dramatic nights I had. I was just reading my news feeds on facebook and I saw a couple of my friends’ status about the movie The Notebook. They say that it is a very good movie, so dramatic and you’ll cry your heart out. I was so curious, I rented that movie and watched it the following night. I don’t know how to say it but it really touched my heart. I found myself crying to the point that my tears are really overflowing, or maybe I was just overreacting but I can say that that movie took a special spot in my heart.
From then on, I started watching the other movies based on Nicholas Sparks’ best selling novels. I already bought some of his books and I consider them as one of my treasured possessions.
